Xaranth
If it's your own mod, open it in the GECK and go to the Character menu and select 'Update FaceGen Model availability'.
luthienanarion
If it's your own mod, open it in the GECK and go to the Character menu and select 'Update FaceGen Model availability'. For the love of god, do not do this. The function is completely broken in New Vegas and will not detect EGM files at all. That means that it will "update" every headgear item in the game by removing the MODD Facegen flag from them and turning them ALL sideways. Saving your plugin after doing this will add all of the altered headgear records to it. Fixing rotated headgear requires adding the appropriate flag to the item record in FNVEdit or TESSnip or the like. The GECK is not able to do it. Instructions for doing this in FNVEdit can be found here. Edited January 6, 2013 by luthienanarion
Xaranth
Huh. I know that's worked for me before. Granted, it's probably what broke another mod of mine. Huh.
nivea
Huh. I know that's worked for me before. Granted, it's probably what broke another mod of mine. Huh. It worked in FO3 but its been broken since day one in FNV sadly. :(
Sirropoo
Bump, the ol "hat on the shoulder" trick ...Beth, you lazy bums. And I just happened across this myself but I figured I'd just let my toons wander the world with a chip ..err, hat on thier shoulder :) Thanks guys, usually it plays hell finding a solution (10 mins for solution, WOW!!) and I am not a serious modder so I dont bug ya with my petty stuff. You all are a good bunch, no matter what others say ;) Edit: BTW, I just duplicated a form within GECK and this problem popped up, besides ID and name change, form was exact. Xaranth
Yeah, the NV GECK apparently eats facegen data. Same trick, open your mod in FNV and add head flags to the FageGen model data.
