RBRoAB
I've played New Vegas about 15 times. I love it. Problem is, it's repetitive. I want to play through something different. Not just new quests and lands. I'd love to see beautiful new textures to some weapons but keep it looking like its vanilla. Nothing too shiny or out of place. New weapons, but no god weapons, and again, things that look natural. Same goes for armor. As well as new monsters, creatures, and even companions. Maybe some new gameplay aspects, things that will make the game harder. New direction. I want the New Vegas experience, but I want something new and fresh. I hope people understand what I'm talking about. Please suggest mods, and mods that you really like. Load orders and conflicts with other mods, info like that is appreciated. quacko
well, shameless self promotion is always a good thing, so i feel i should point out my mod aces high (asuming you dont mind playing evil, and ain't got a weak stomache xD).Yogt a little bit of everything in there, primarily i evolves around the ability to harvest several organs and bones n stuff, from your fallen enemies, and craft weapons and armor, aswell as several new food items, and at the moment slight overhaul of the ultralux dining areas.besides that there is a new random encounter script that spawns a few new creature and npc encounters, which brings even more items to the game than what you can craft.if it sounds like something you'd like then you can check out the mod in my tagline thingie below. Awesome, I'll check it out! You know if it conflicts with any other mods?
quacko
as far as i know it doesn't, everything has been made to work independent from everything else, and all scripts has been written from scratch,so if anything should conflict, it would be because they alter n the ultralux dining areas, but i doubt that would be noticable,or if they alter dramaticaly in the levelled item food lists, but again, i doubt it would be something you would really notice, other than a few items wont show up at merchants, but just about all of them can be aquired in various ways. quacko
but with that said, noone has complained about any malfunctions from the mod since the first couple of versions, so i think it's a fairly safe bet that you can play itwith most other mods. Xaranth
Also if you're looking for new gameplay aspects, there's Tuckered Out. I didn't like it personally, but that's just a taste thing. It was well-executed, although it did muck up my save a bit when uninstalled. Uhm, what else? AWOP has a metric crapton of stuff to burn all that extra ammo on. Project Nevada is there for those who like that sort of thing. If you're running type3 and roberts or breeze, you can get Spice of Life by Nivea for an awesome expansion of wardrobes. Visually, there's the Poco Bueno Texture Pack, FNV ENhanced Shaders, and Nevada Skies or Project Reality. I'm still trialling them to decide which one stays. After using it for two minutes I don't think I'll ever play again without the New Vegas Stutter Remover. Unfortunately, many of the new mods in my list are untested so I can't recommend or discourage them, but D.E.I.M.O.S., Niner, and Treasure for a Traveller all look very interesting.
