Accessing the console with controllers

I've poked around a bit and have came up with nothing.

 

Anyone know of a mod, or a setting that can be changed, to allow me to open the console while I'm using an xbox controller?

 

It kinda kills my mood when a mod causes a bug and I have to unplug my controller, click okay, press ~, try to fix the issue, press ~ again, plug the controller back in, click okay, and rinse and repeat every 5-50 minutes.

 

This wouldn't be so bad if I weren't across the room.

Not possible. The game disables keyboard input when a controller's detected, and that's a hard-coded 'feature'.

This is not possible in New Vegas. You'll have to disable the controller each time you want access to the console. If you're using a wireless one, you can simply pull the battery pack.

 

I just change from controller to keyboard in the options menu and back.

This mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/23682 allowed it to work in FO3 so if someone can use this and make it work in FONV that would be great.

The features in that mod were ported from the "JIP LN NVSE Plugin" mod for FNV.
