KarakMadman
After much deliberation I finally decided to make the conversion to SKSE, however I seem to have hit a wall. I went thought Gopher's infamous (maybe?) installation video, even used his handy idea of using the mod manager. So I installed everything, and used his way to check that it was working. So I install a few mods, including the community uncapped mod, the new race menu, and SkyUI. So I use the command console to COC myself and test out that it worked and that everything worked together. So then I decided to load up my regular character that I had before I installed SKSE and the lot. It brought up the loading screen and then it instantly CTD'd (crash to desktop if I have to clarify). So I decided to remove all SKSE files and their related content, so then I started it up again, and load up the old character, and it CTD's again. I was really confused. Another thing that came up was that when I COC'd myself, just to the solitude gates. I got an error that said something about an error with something along the lines of my hold location. This came up 3 times in a row, with a different number each time. I'm am a bit concerned at this point. I even verified the cashe with Steam and even restored my computer, to see if that had any effect at all, still nothing. So now I'm at a loss. Do I have to start over on that character? or is there a way to save it?
Selvec
You should post your papyrus log.

KarakMadman
You should post your papyrus log. I am not sure where to find that. Sorry, I'm really new to this. Did you uninstall/update any mods that your current save may be dependent on? The only thing I uninstalled was a custom armor. The Knight of Thorns armor. The only instance that I had it was on a manikin at a costume player home. I installed it again to see if there was something weird happening with it, but that didn't fix it.I installed new mods such as the GEMS(game play enhancement mods for Skyrim) mod for the perk tree enhancements. The mod page stated that for a conversion of an existing playing SKSE was required, So I thought it would be interesting . So I loaded it up, but uninstalled after the problems started arising. MShoap13
To enable Papyrus logging, add or alter the following lines under the [Papyrus] section of your Skyrim.ini (located at \My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\):bEnableLogging=1 bEnableTrace=1 bLoadDebugInformation = 1 Run the game and load your save, once it crashes you should find a log located at \My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Logs\Script\. Open that with something like Notepad++ (plain notepad won't have line breaks and it will be a jumbled mess, WordPad may work) and then copy and paste it into a /spoiler tag here. Well Skyrim is truly an interesting piece of equipment. After I did as you said there, I started up the game and it loaded just fine. ....I have no idea what the difference was.... Selvec
Skyrim is a strange beast. One day it will work fine, the next it will act like its stood on a landmine, and the following day it will be fine again.
