Mesh not properly in CK

Hi,

I've been trying to make a new clothes mesh from scratch but it always gets messed up if I import it into CK.

 

I've double checked the partitions in the nif file, the envelopes in 3ds max and that "weight all points" in checked.

Procedure:

 

import body mesh

import cloth

smooth cloth

skin wrap -> (changed Vertex deformation, Fall off 1 to 2, tick on weight all points)

convert to skin

delete skin wrap modifier

in Skin modifier -> in envelope mode deleted all bones which had no (or low) weights

added BSD modifier

selected the entire mesh

assigned body part

exported it

 

The mesh looks fine in max and nif skope. However, the problem seems to be somewhere in the export system. These are my Export settings:

 

 

Using 3ds max 2016 with this (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10015) and NifSkope 2.0.dev8.

Can someone help please?

Are you sure the mesh is weighted properly? Because that image looks like unweighted vertices to me. Try checking in Outfit Studio by either importing the nif and export nif (will give warning of unweighted vertices) or right click mesh and mask all weighted vertices. If they're unweighted, you can try weighing again with 3dMax 2016 or do it in Outfit Studio.

 

If they're all weighted, try checking the weight strengths on the vertices by posing the outfit like moving arms/legs bones. Don't know how to do that in 3dMax but Outfit Studio is under Bones tab-> click arrow to drop down Posing options->enable poses->mess with bones

I've checked the mesh in Outfit Studio and you were right, there are some miss behaving vertices. Although I was sure I weighted them all. Oh well, at least the source of the problem has been found.
