A new Profession: Shopkeeper + Future Mod

It all started back in 2003, playing Morrowind and loving it. I got into the plugins, quickly learned to love them. Then I started tinkering with the ck (it was a bit easier back then it seems for some reason). Then I found it, 1 of many of the mods I long for in Oblivion and Skyrim, which never came to be.. There are many, but this particular one is the one I'm talking about.. Being a shopkeeper.

For those of you who dont know the mod, this is how it worked.

1) you opened the front door, and you'd get a book, once you read it, and picked up the key you became the owner, from here you could hire a cashier (their mercantile skill determined how high or low they sold your stuff, and you could train them, or they'd slowly get better as time went by).

You could also hire a Blacksmith, who would slowly make armor, weapons. Or make a particular set if you told him too (though it took a few days), you could then sell these items. What he made randomly would increase by his own Armorer level.

Both NPCs got paid gold weekly from your pocket.

2) There was a back room, with chests. Each chest was labeled accordingly, "weapons, armor", if you put say, an Axe in the weapon chest, it would appear out on the wall in a designated spot. Any NPC that was randomly spawned inside, had a counter on him of how rich or poor he was, if the weapon was selling within his range, it was then triggered by the cashier, and how much he spends on it was calculated, and the item would be removed.

For armor, it was the same, except it appeared on mannaquins.

There was also a clothier shop, which worked exactly the same way. You could sell anything from your travels, or anything the blacksmith made himself.

It was a gem of a mod, and there hasnt been one like it since. I want to revive this mod, because I feel if it can be done in Morrowind, it sure as heck can be done in Skyrim, and it should be.

Note: I'd also like it to be functional with the mod "Live another life, where you can choose to "own a shop" and you'll start as the owner of 1 of these shops.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Over all Idea, and Goals:

First Goal:

-To have a shop which you can buy and own in a town. Both an Armorer, and Clothes shop.

-To be able to hire NPCs to work at your store, (I want them to be actual NPCs, not randomly spawned ones. When/if you hire specific NPCs a new script for their schedule will replace their old one.)

-Actual NPCs/Guards, etc. visiting your shop, including randomized ones as well. (There are a ton of mods out there which add random encounters, and more NPCs walking the roads, so this would only add to that immersion)

-Guards who buy from your shop, will use the weapons bought.

Goal 2:

-To expand on it, and allow upgrades, and buyable expansions to the shops, such as extended display area, living area's upstairs, cellars, etc.

-To Expand the shop from Armors, to allowing you to make it either Weapons shop, Armor Shop, Magic shop, or Clothes shop.

-Expand on the idea of buyable expansions to also allow multiple shops in one building, and hire additional workers.

Goal 3:

-To allow your spouse to "work" at the store, her "speech" skill effecting how high she sells items, and how low she buys items from NPCs.

-A new option to "train" your employee's in speech (Cant go higher than your current speech level of course)

Goal 4: To expand the shops to every town, and inject it fully into the games economics, and allow most NPCs to be able to visit it if they are in the hold.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Each "Goal" would be a main focus for the mod, and wouldnt go onto the next goal until the first was fully completed.

I'd love to see this mod come to life, however, I have not seriously monkeyed with CK since Morrowind, and I am very rusty at it on an epic level, however I am more than willing to learn (I also have another huge mod in mind, I'd really love to do.. I just need to learn some very advanced things).

If anyones willing to make the mod, teach me how to make it, answer my questions about CK as I go, or bless your heart, help me with the mod fully, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I know I cannot do this on my own, having no experience in CK since Morrowind, and having really no clue where to start, or what I'm doing, whatever help I can get, would be amazing.
