SkyUI 3, no MCM

I installed the SkyUI 3.1 with Mod Organiser, and the MCM doesn't have any options - I just get the splash screen. I've been told that I need to activate the .bsa for SkyUI in MO, which I have done (after I extracted it out of the downloaded archive because for some reason MO didn't pull it out), but I still don't get any options. The rest of SkyUI seems to be working just fine, however. How can I get this to work properly?

To add: in the pause menu and at the top of the MCM menu, it says "$Mod Configuration". I have made sure to verify the integrity of game cache (although it always says 1 file failed).

Somethings screwy with your language files. Do a full uninstall of all things SkyUI (make sure you didn't leave any v2.2 files behind if you're updating), and then reinstall it according to the instructions on the SkyUI page.

Make sure you're running the new 1.6.6 SKSE update too.

There is an installation issue with the newest version of SkyUI and MO, no one knows why yet but MO's author is looking into it. There are 2 work-arounds for installing SkyUI 3.1 with MO:

1) install normally through MO, and unpack the BSA into loose files when asked by MO.

2) install normally through MO, do not unpack BSA, but leave the SkyUI BSA *un-checked* in the resource tab.

I used the first method and everything works fine, but many MO user use the second method (and it's also the one recommend by Tannin). Either should get SkyUI 3.1 up and running. Remember also you will need the latest version of SKSE (1.6.6).

Ok, I removed everything with "skyui" in the filename from my computer except for the downloaded archive. Now, when I try to install via MO, the installer thinks I don't have SKSE installed. I've been having that problem as well, and have re-installed SKSE several times.

Do you have SKSE 1.6.6 (rather than 1.6.5, the version available on Silverlock's website last I checked). v1.6.6. can be downloaded from the SKSE thread on the Bethesda official forum.

If you are -sure- you have SKSE 1.6.6, you can just safely ignore that warning message (it may be triggering because it's not being properly handled by MO's integrated FOMOD installer) and just install SkyUI 3.1.

I'm sure. I had to do a forced refresh of the SKSE page, and it then showed 1.6.6. I tried ignoring the error warning, but then I don't have a .bsa to unpack in MO's bsa tab, and I still have the same issues with the $s in front of Mod Configuration.

That's strange. I didn't have any issues (no '$' and no issue unpacking BSA during installation). Try this if you haven't already:

1) repackage the SkyUI archive: extract the files, remove the fomod folder (the script in there is just to detect if the user has SKSE 1.6.6 and has no further bearing on the functioning of the mod) and just repackage the esp and BSA into an .7z or rar.

2) do a clean install. Remove all SkyUI files, including esp, and save game. Then install your repackaged SkyUI 3.1 through MO.

Incidentally, are you using the latest beta version (0.12.1) of MO?

Ok, did those steps, but still no bsa under that tab, still the same problems.

Not running the beta, just 0.11.15.

You didn't unpack the BSA? Unpack the BSA during installation, then after it has installed, open up the mod in the 'Installed Mod' tab and make sure there is an esp and two folders ('interface' and 'script').

Also, try upgrading to the 0.12.1 of MO. I've been using it for a few days now, it's been updated with a lot more functions that users had been requesting.

When am I supposed to unpack the BSA? When I manually install from the archive I made with just the ESP and BSA, I get a windows that shows SkyUI.bsa and SkyUI.esp in <data>, and when I click OK, I just see "Installation successful."

I'll try out the beta (if I can find it in that huge thread) and see how it goes.
