First time quest mod

Hello all,

I am a new modder to Skyrim and am following the Bethesda guide on the CK wiki. I have gotten all the way to the objectives point and now the dialogue i created for the quest won't fire off. I've reworked through most of the walkthrough trying to figure out what went wrong but can't find anything. I was hoping some of the more experienced modders might have a few ideas?

thanks

Try going to your character with a saved game that has NEVER seen the mod. If he still won't talk to you, save the game, then reload it, then try to talk to him. If this doesn't fix it, get back to me. I have the same problem. I really wish I understood what was going on. I believe it has something to do with them trying to pick a greeting that doesn't exist. Also, you must make sure the NPC you created is not in "Potential Follower Faction" or "Current Follower Faction," as there are large changes you have to make to ensure this does not cause dialogue problems. Putting them in that category automatically puts them in the "quest" which manages dialogue for Followers, and, if you put them in this, almost certainly your character will lack the proper voice type.

I tried that to no avail.I even tried creating the SEQ file and placing it in the appropriate place. The dialogue option still does not appear. The strange thing is that it worked before when i tested it prior to settimg up aliases and objectives. I think i will clear the tree and rework it. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
