Sephlyn
In the "Data" File folder of your Fallout 3 directory place an empty notepad file named "ArchiveInvalidation" (.txt if you have to enter the extension) save it and leave it. If your downloaded mod has a txt. file with lines like"Textures/Armor/wastelandclothing01/helmetf.dds" simply cut and paste them into your ArchiveInvalidation document and it should tell it to overwrite it's current setting Open up FALLOUT.ini in My Documents\My Games\Fallout 3 with Notepad and locate the following line "bInvalidateOlderFiles=0" and set it to 1 (You can use the search function to do this) Now extract a Mod as directed into the proper folders (IF you feel yourself incapable extract to your desktop and open up the files and manually paste them inside your Fallout 3 data folder Or simply go to the Fallout 3 launcher and highlight your new ESP file and tell it to load loose files. Your Mod should now be functioning correctly... I hope

Sephlyn
okay Wait so you open up Fallout.ini press ctrl+F and paste bInvalidateOlderFiles=0 (uncheck match case of course just to be safe) and you don't get a hit?cause it should be in there and to allow mods I think you need to set it to bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 Cause if you don't have either of those lines in Fallout.ini I'm stumped sorry man. my file is named Fallout_default.ini (I wonder if it got changed somehow was it always called default I don't remember)

Sephlyn
Good job I'm happy for you. (Be sure to back up files[if you have the space] if you are editing things you are uncertain of for mods in the future.)
