Spells overhaul?

This is just an early idea; i've just woke up and though of this while taking my early shower, and i don't want to forget about it :P and in the meantime let people discuss the idea.

 

Basically i was thinking in two mayor changes to spell casting:

 

a) Instead of being singlely learnt, spells will also use three "arcane words" (not learned from Dragon Walls, nor Arcane Walls or anything along this lines, just learned from talking to mages, maybe trading words with other spellcasters, and for the last words probably doing some small quest).. this will allow for lower-grade spells to eventually be on par with upper spells.. For instance; a three-worded Flames will be slightly stronger than a single-worded Incinerate.. that way, you can still make use of the flame's spell mechanic if you eventually need it lategame without it dealing circa no damage.

 

b) The player will be able to remember and handle 20 words (hence, up to 20 single-worded spells); but he can improve with via two ways: Using a Spellbook (each with 1 weight -example-, allowing to write down 10 words), or by leveling the spell schools (every 10 -example- levels will allow for a new word, and an additional word from that school)
