senterpat Posted January 12, 2013 Share Posted January 12, 2013 Ya that's what I'm trying to do. For fire & forget spells, it will check only when you cast it. But conc spells will check every second that your shooting it. Right now what's happening is- when I use my flames spell, it damages right away (I have the % set to 99 for testing) applies the flames shader to the player.) once you stop casting though and do it again, the flame shader is cast, but no dmg occurs. So the effect is working, but the damage only works the first time. I'm going to work right now so I won't be able to mess with it til later tonight. I've done spells like this before, when I made some blood magic spells, so I dunno why it's not working. Probably something simple that I'm missing. If you want to mess around with it the way I'm doing it is: make a new spell that's f&f on self, and switch it from a spell to an ability. Then go to the flames spell magic effect (firedamageconcaimed) and in the equip ability box add your spell.
