mcgoy
I'm not ignoring, I just can't help you. It may be incredibly obvious on your monitor, but with my slow internet connection, I thought I saw something once and never again. But I've not seen what you describe. I'm really wondering if the problem is with the mods, DAO, or the PC. Can you disable all of your mods (other than the appearance mods) and see if you have the same problem? mcgoy
looking at your list of mods - you might need to move some files out of your override directory as well to test. And I suspect, that you have others since the staff and robe aren't on your list of mods
balthazar9086
@mcgoy + @Thandal, I think I know which mod is causing this problem - Respecification 2.9 by Aaron Christian. Found this out by reformatting my PC, reinstalling the game, and then applying all my mods one at a time and loading a saved game in between each one (!!!). The only time I saw the freezing every 2-3 seconds was when I installed Respec, and it went away after I disabled it. I'm going to leave a comment for the mod in question, although I do see that one other user has reported the same problem that I have been suffering from. What a huge camel off my back now...lol Looks like I can reinstall Improved Atmosphere!!!
Thandal
Glad you isolated the one that was giving you grief! Hope you don't come to regret installing IA... :whistling:

Hope you don't come to regret installing IA... :whistling: Haha I'm going to hold off installing IA since it's still in 2.0 beta. Do you think I could install Respecification to reset my skills and then uninstall it (but still keep the reset)??? Without corrupting my saved game? danexuslurker
Try using Character Respecialization instead. (and Character Respecialization -Console Addon too, if you want). Also, if you are having problems with Improved Atmosphere, you can always just delete the changes that you don't want before you put IA in override. It's modular and has a very detailed description of every folder and what changes they make. I personally don't use any of the custom items or NPC armor changes, but keep the rest. It's a great mod if you only install the changes that you want in your game. Edited February 11, 2013 by danexuslurker
Deleted2196701User
I'm obviously very late to this thread. I can confirm my mod (Respecification DAO) was causing this issue. Specifically, I was using a heartbeat to teach the skills to all the companions. Since I haven't played the game in quite a while, I didn't hear about the issue until recently. I have since removed the heartbeat in favor of teaching the PC targetable versions of my skills. Upgrading the version 3.1 will eliminate your problem. But you answered, which is the most important thing. I'm doing a playthrough right now, trying out this list with some other mods and I'm very greatful to you for answering this.
