Jacen007
-A new (large-ish?) Vault (Maybe turn this into a city/refugee area somehow?)I noticed that the Vault 101 map used in the escape quest has several areas and routes which aren't accessible. The map from the return to the home front quest has some of those areas, but has others closed of... Would it be feasible to merge these maps? ^Hope that makes any sense :P
DDigit
Martigen has already made a Monster Mod for F3 and is developing lots more. This monster mod will add more pack-like spawning and in the future more random encounter spots. Also, I've been discussing with Doedel on eventually merging his expanded settlements mod with my living wastelands mod. You can read up in the original expanded wasteland topic and the living wastelands topics.
Deleted919650User
Well, I'm currently working on a large, underground city type vault. It's got large, open ceilings with entire buildings inside of it. For the most part, the city will be well-lit, clean, and have a large population of NPCs wandering around it. Plans include a large, Tenpenny-esque apartment building that includes a very nice suite for the player; several specialized shops, restaurants, and bars. The catch? I hope to have this vault-city only available after the player completes a long, difficult quest for the Vault AI Director. He'll have the player go out and convince three settlement leaders to move into the vault city, along with all the people of their settlements. It'll be a long project, and a learning experience for me. I've started construction of the vault, and it's pretty cool, but I'm not very far in yet. thewaronandrew
Announcement: Vault 100 I don't know if this is the kind of thing you are looking for, but I have been working tirelessly on a new Vault. I won't release it until I run it through a few bits of quality control. There is a quest involved and after you complete it the Vault is yours to live in. The vault is not huge, it is just intricate. EDIT: Zwiq, I missed your post. It sounds like we have the same kind of project in mind. Although, yours sounds a lot more immense than mine. Like mine on steroids. I came up with a pretty cool story about your Vault, its yours if you want it: One of Vault-Tecs vaults was designed to remain automated and empty and not open until 200 years after it was sealed. Good luck with your project!

I came up with a pretty cool story about your Vault, its yours if you want it: One of Vault-Tecs vaults was designed to remain automated and empty and not open until 200 years after it was sealed. Good luck with your project! Actually, Andrew, that's very similar to the backstory I had in mind. The vault was designed to be the starting point for a new civilization after full-scale nuclear war. It is a fully automated city, complete with water recycling system, food supplies, and a robotic maintenance and cleaning crew. The lead engineer, a satirical yet friendly Texan, had his "personality" coded into Vault City's supercomputer, with orders to open the city in the event that humanity came back. However, nobody ever had the chance. The vault was not completed before the bombs fell, and the knowledge of the vault was lost. Over the past two hundred years, the supercomputer has overseen the continued production of the empty vault. Using his vast supply of robotic engineers and scavenger drones, he was able to finish building Vault City. Now, two hundred years after the bombs fell, the player discovers the entrance to this sanctuary. After a brief discussion with the Supercomputer (named ODESSA), it agrees to allow him into the vault city on the grounds that he convinces enough people to move within its walls. This would be the start of a quest to convince three key settlement leaders to move their settlements into Vault City. Each leader will require something different from the player before they'll agree to move. So after doing three quests (one for each leader), ODESSA will open the doors to Vault City. That's the story/idea I had come up with for this project.
thewaronandrew
I like it. Somebody earlier was complaining that there wasn't a big enough city like in previous Fallout games (Vault City, Reno). I am excited to see the progress your mod takes. Do you have a link to your Mod's thread?

Do you have a link to your Mod's thread? Don't have a mod thread. I want to get a bit more of this thing built before I start marketing it for real, you know? It's just a concept with a bit of trim added to it right now.
thewaronandrew
You're right. That is a big project and it won't be completed in a couple of weeks time. Still, it is nice to see if a lot of people are interested in your idea by having a thread they can discuss it in. Who knows, you might find somebody has a great idea for you or may be able to help you with something on your mod. I may have jumped the gun starting a thread about my mod before I had even started working on it, but I definitely had got a lot of good feedback that helped me get even more motivated.
