razorboi
well im pretty new to modding, but I am interested in joining a modding community. I even have forums or whatever else we need to store files and such. I have alot of ideas, as well as I am pretty good at writing any dialog that maybe needed. I have been working on some ideas for quests, areas and regions. Im hard at studying the G.E.C.K so I hope I will have it under my belt soon. So come check out my site and see if we need anything like it http://www.scratchsplace.com

sugarape
Hey cool mod, Arefu expanded looks great. It did bug me while playing that the "towns" were so tiny and feeble. Another thing that kinda bugged me in the game was all the newspapers and trash on the floor of houses that were lived in and had been for some time (Uncle Roe's for example). I mean these people would fix up their homes to some extent.
Triumph675
I`m currently working on a Hospital Dungeon. Whats the easiest way to post up pics from geck/ and even in game? So far I got the layout down how I like it. Now I`m running through cluttering it. Attention to detail
Khet
Easiest way is Prinstscreen (with Geck) and pasting into an image program then uploading to something like Photobucket, PrintScreen is also the ingame screenshot key, they're saved in the Bethesda/Fallout 3 directory NOT in Data
Doedel
One thing we'll probably need lots of is people willing and able to write new dialogue and quests for new NPCs and areas. Khet and I have a pretty basic handling on creating new exteriors and interiors (more help would always be great though) but by far I think the hardest part will be in populating these new places with smart, believable people, many of whom will have entirely new dialogue. As a note, I'd like to avoid having ANY text that does not contain audio. I will soon be releasing a beta of Arefu for people to test. It will basically contain only the various new buildings, interiors, and basic NPCs.

I could probably help out with the writing bit, just need to know about where the being will live/work/hunt/rampage. From there I can fill in the how and why of them as well as giving them some life. As for the dialogue, by " I'd like to avoid having ANY text that does not contain audio. " do you mean that you would like to use the lines that Bethesda use so there will be audio to go with them? Or you dont want text that would be hard to voiceact?
Doedel
Well there are only two possibilities: 1) Most NPCs will use stock Bethesda voiceover. This will somewhat limit what they can say (many interesting dialogue choices deal with specific people or places) but it is sufficient for the majority of NPCs. 2) For special NPCs who will be giving new quests, or really need unique dialogue, I'd like to grab voice-acting work from talented individuals. So basically, both.

ConnCain
Mhmm, That limits the amount of unique and creative writing that could be done rather severely apart from the "Unique NPC's" (Which will now be referred to as UNPC's, just to confuse everyone.) I have to admit I wont be the best choice for patching up dialog from the stuff dear old Bethie-kins has put together at the moment, though that may change once I get to have a good long look at all the dialog in the GECK(ie-kins) Though I can for see the possibility of something like the beggers in oblivion, which had different voices every second.Though that could be fixed by using lines by the same voice actors that are used on different characters to create something unique....Which I now see would be quite a F***ton of work.
