Giants plugin review

I'm not actually going to give a review. I was hoping some people that have played the Giants plugin would offer some feedback about what they thought of it. I'm starting a new character and I'm wondering if I'll get slaughtered due to all the souped up monsters?

Good and bad, can anyone share their thoughts and ultimately if it's a plugin that they keep on their system?

Thanks for any help.

Hmm...There are a few good and bad things about the Giant Mod. It adds a vast array of new creatures to taste your blade, however sometimes they are more of a hassel than they are worth. I am also testing out the Partners mod(which is very fun i might add) and as I was walking through what I believed was a safe city, a shade pops up out of nowhere and shoots one bolt that killed a member of my party..(he was full health and decked out in a complete suit of ebony armor) The odd thing is that some guards will not attack creatures that follow me into the village which I find very odd...Not only that but guards attack ME, when I see a wild vampire running around town...I mean I'm a Vampire hUnter!! that's my job...who would want a vampire running around town anyway...But don't get me wrong...the Giants mod does have its good points, There's nothing like hunting a dragon before lunch, the exploding a few ancient liches after dinner. Just don't stray too far off the beaten path, or that's what your character will be tasting.

Thanks for your input 'allah', your opinion helped confirm my suspicion. It's too bad, the mod seems like it has a lot of potential, but it definitely sounds like it is can be more troublesome than fun. The problem with most user created mods are that people start out with great ideas, only to ruin the final product by making it unbalanced.

At first, when I was reading the description of the Giants mod, it seemed like it was an incredible mod, until I started seeing 'enhancements' like bats that can transfer vampirism to you. In the Morrowind world, what happens if you are a beginning character who gets attacked by a bat and next thing you know you are a level one vampire? This isn't fun, it's a pain in the butt and wrecks your game. It forces you to start over or try to survive long enough to cure your disease, which is unlikely for an early character. I wish people that made these mods would think them through a little better. Enough of my rant, I just hate seeing potential mods include every idea the user thinks is cool, only to find out the mod is completely un-balanced after adding in all the ideas.

I have been playing Morrowind since it was first released last spring. I have played with no plugins added, and found the monsters, creatures, or what ever you want to call them very redundant after awhile.

IMO, Giants is one of the top 5 greatest mods out there. Puma Man has done an excellent job with his new creatures, and every new game I start I always use Giants. The monsters are leveled, so it is highly unlikely, if not impossible to encounter something that will give a level one character vampirism. (I never have). As far as the guards attacking you, instead of a wild vampire, you have to let the vampire attack you first. If not, the guards just see you as a bully attacking an NPC for no reason.

You should at least give GIANTS a try. If you don't like what it adds, then remove it.

OK here's what I think about giants I thought it would be awesome but really when I played the Mod it really disappointed me. Just because when I played there was headless wild vampires running at me. And there was these ugly bat likes things that kept attacking me. When I come to think of that it I don't really recommend giants to people who want something that it isn't.
