UlrikS
I'am working on a new weapon, wich i want to have the same model as the orginal, but a new texture. How can i do this in the GECK? Also, how do i save only the weapon in the .ESP, and not the whole game?
cooleo
You can't in geck you have to use a program like NifSkope to apply the new texture to the model. The first time you save a change in the geck it will ask you to save the plugin and every time you wish to change something in that plugin (make the pluging the active file) you will have to load it with the fallout3.esm
UlrikS
I have applied the textures in NifScope now, and placed it in the game with the GECK. The texture is as it should be, until i pick it up, and then it turns into sometimes all white, and sometimes a f***ed up and misplaced texture of the orginal weapons texture or the new texture. What causes this? The orginal weapon has also broken textures.
miax
Could I add a quick question onto this? How do you save the .NIF files for models you want to change out of the .esp? I can't seem to find how to extract a .NIF file with GECK. I have NifScope and GIMP ready to go, as well as my new textures, but I don't know how to get the original NIF files. Thanks!
