ichigoonwall
Hey guys, here's the deal: I have a high end gaming laptop, it can run games much more demanding than skyrim on max settings. But whenever I try to run mods like FXAA post process injector or RCRN or any enb series stuff, the game gets like 4fps and it takes forever to load. I think the problem is not that my computer isn't good enough, I think there is some underlying issue. Like maybe its reverting to my processors built in graphics instead of the dedicated card? I know it does something like that when I unplug the power source. If it helps, my specs are: Processor Intel® Core i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30GHz Memory (RAM) 8.00 GB Graphics Intel® HD Graphics 4000 Gaming graphics 1696 MB Total available graphics memory Thanks for any input. ichigoonwall
So I did a bit more searching around in the internet, apparently the phenomenon has been noted to happen to other people. Basically any d3d9 file makes the game run on the integrated cpu. So how do I fix this? I don't want to go messing around in my bios without plan because I really have no idea what I'm doing. MShoap13
Use the injector version. This is only going to help if you have a dedicated graphics card though, the Intel® HD Graphics 4000 you listed in your specs is the integrated GPU. If you do not have a dedicated graphics card, then the next step would be to lower the quality or turn off SSAO/SSIL in you ENB config. This will affect how good the ENB looks, but it's where the vast majority (80 percent or better) of the performance hit from running ENB series comes from.
