Go to "C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Frosty" and delete manager_config.json

Now I may have messed things up considerably but what if you can't find an AppData folder at all in your system

Edit: for some reason I could only find the folder by using file explorer to search specifically for "AppData" specifically in my users\(my username) file

Edit 2: it still didn't work for me :/

I have the same problem, but only with new versions of FMM. While v.1.0.5.9 works just fine, any higher version simply fails to load. I get the error saying "An item with the same key has already been added". Isn't there anybody who can help with that? I'm not new to using mods... but I know little about programs. What could be so different between v.1.0.5.9 and v.1.0.6.2, for example? Any ideas?

Necro, I know - but I did this, and then I suddenly was able to run Frosty as Admin. Before the delete, I couldnt. Once I could run as Admin, it launched my game fine. Prior to that, I got that same stupid message as the OP described.

This may help anyone else who has recently run into the issue with the 1.0.6.3 version of Frosty.

I got this error after I tried to add a .dai mod I already had added by mistake. The program crashed with a bunch of jargon errors, and I wasn't able to open it again without this same error. I tried running as admin, redownloading Frosty, deleting appdata files, etc. with no success. I decided to go ahead and play the game without my Frosty based mods and realized my game was now broken. I verified my files and 8 of them were suddenly missing when only an hour before I was playing the game just fine. I assume the issues are related. After getting those files back via Steam, out of curiosity I opened up Frosty to see if I could get it to open without error, and it did. Mod list popped right up in 2 seconds and was able to run the game with my current mods.

tl;dr - Try verifying your game files if nothing else works, because Frosty broke some of mine and caused this error.

Ok the problem I had was the same as Aerynage

First some files got corrupted

Second I had some mod files there were "Select only one" But I had all of them so deleting all but one of those choices in addition to reverifying fixed things

One problem with Vortex is that it doesn't handle mods where a ton of mutually exclusive mods are included in one file.

Hi! I just wanted to share my experience to (hopefully) save another person's headache!

First off - I'm using .dai and Frosty mods. Second - my mod folders are located on my C drive, and my game is on my D drive. I don't know if those two things have anything to do with what my problem was but I just wanted to throw that out there 🙂

The only thing that worked for me was to follow the instructions in Food Then Games' channel, here; specifically her changes to the patch folder in your Dragon Age Inquisition game folder. I had a folder inside the Update folder called "Merged". I removed that, and Frosty started for me.
