alexplav47
If two conflicting files appear in mods, it is suggested to put one mod before and the second after. Which mod will be used, the one before or after?

anjenthedog
It depends. If my mod manager recommends a particular load order, I usually accept that recommendation. Vortex offers such recommendations for *most, but not all load order contention issues. I don't know if MO2 or NMM do. for vortex, the preferred load order is marked by "(recommended)" being appended to one of the four load order choices However, in those (ime, rare) situations where no advise is offered, then the most logical process is to stop (suspend the deployment process temporarily) what you're doing, and visit the mod pages for the two mods in question, or at least the one you're installing and the most prominent of the contention mods (prominence being determined by how "core" the contention mod is, for instance, CBBE, or some other fundamental mod that many others depend on), then read their docs and posts to see if there's advise on where it should be put. (no matter how tedious that might be/seem) If you're impatient, just guess and hope for the best?
