SangRahl
Hmmm... neat concept. I'd waste a good chunk of bandwidth to d/l and check something like this out. But, can you turn off the randomization of the "songs" for the station? Having one MASSIVE MP3 would make average user's computers crawl to a standstill while it loads up the file, and having 20 smaller cuts (individual call-ins) would get wonky with having everyone talking random order. Or, would it be in 5-6min segments, with each segment covering a singular topic and multiple calls/commercials? That'd work pretty well, I suppose. Nevermind... heheheh. Just keep in mind that 7-10min+ of track would be a real *censored* for the game to load up, especially if you wander into a fight right as tracks are changing. Randomization is an option and can be turned off for individual tracks for use in a talk show or interview setting. 5 minutes would probably be the very maximum of any track included as anything longer than that really puts a strain on game resources. If there is a talk show or interview that runs longer than 5 minutes, I'd highly suggest having some sort of intermission (like a commercial break) so that you can easily break up the segments into chunks for faster and less resource-intensive loading. Rekicker
I've completed 6 items for the talk show. They are called "3R Lessons." I have at least 4 more planned. Basically, they are tongue-in-cheek lessons on various topics, mostly relative to Fallout 3 but intended to provide one time bonuses to skills. You'd listen to the lesson on the radio once and get a skill up but any other times it played on the radio you would not receive the bonus again. Here's the rundown of what I have done so far: 04 Shark Attacks and You +1 Science +1 Unarmed 05 Romance and You +2 Speech 08 Survivalism and You +1 Explosives +1 Small Guns 09 Foreigners and You +1 Barter +1 Sneak 16 Radiation Poisoning and You +1 Medicine +1 Science 32 Firearm Maintenance and You +2 Repair Each is about two and a half minutes long. Here is a "teaser" download of 3R Lesson 16: Radiation Poisoning and You(scroll down past the ads to the bottom of the page to download) Feedback is much appreciated. LithianLord
Wow, this mod is getting a lot more feedback and attention then I ever would have hoped for. I turned off randomization and will fit each segment with a few minutes of speech to keep the game from lagging or skipping anything. I have a few bugs to work out, but now have a working mod to apply shows to and distribute. Rekicker you are now my main man. That short click has inspired me to become more creative in my work. Simply astounding. By the end of this week ill have the first show to post on Nexus. Anyone that wishes to contribute, like I said, send me a MP3 files of anything you would like to have on the show. This radio show is mine, yours, and anyone else that plays fallout3. CWPR is a radio show for the people, by the people. Send those MP3s (or anything you wish to contribute) to [email protected] and you might find yourself in CWPR. :thanks:
Rekicker
Took a little break from the 3R Lessons and made a "Sugarbombs" interview. It's a little over 3 minutes long. This is the first time I've tried to do a "swinger" accent and it turned out... meh. Oh well, thought I'd put it up anyway just in case. http://rapidshare.com/files/173753159/Suga...erview.zip.html

I worked over 3 hours before I had to go to work developing exactly what i want to sound like and a good radio personality, Im one of those people that writes millions of poems and ends up throwing them all away. Think ill stop being a perfectionist for a bit and post something tomorrow as a sample.
Circuitous
On the topic of "What the world was like before the war," I hereby offer one Ghoul's opinion. It's a little sketchy but my capacity for cleaning up audio is severely limited. I hope a little swearing and darkness isn't off-limits.

I wouldn't worry about the swearing but if it's too blue then we can put a beep in there. I'm actually still chuckling. Very cool. This is the type of stuff that is going to make this talk radio channel a real hit. Bravo, sir. Encore, I say.
Circuitous
Glad you enjoyed it. My normal voice doesn't work that well but I was hoping a Ghoul impersonation would make up for it - guess it worked out okay.
