Amazing Roleplay Idea

This is a roleplay move that is perfect for chaotic evil characters. A vampire, a Daedra Worshipper, or evil necro-mage.

Lore:

You awaken in the middle of the night, a gentle grumbling inside you somehow disturbed your sleep. You slowly get up, groggy and fatigued, yet determined to completely awaken. The gurgling inside your brain intensifies, and then you realize the mysterious sensation is your senses. Boethiah is trying to communicate with you through some strange telepathic connection. You surrender your thoughts to the feeling, allowing it to cultivate inside you. Soon, the message becomes crystal clear.

Boethiah is hungry, and has called upon his Champion to slake his craving. As a loyal Daedra Worshipper and representative of Boethiah, you immediately get ready and head out into Skyrim to fulfill the task that your lord has assigned you.

Will it be the rough-and-tough cocky mercenary? His strong, hardy, blood will surely feed the lord well.

Or perhaps you might settle for the innocent blonde virgin, whose purity will make her death tragically wonderful.

Whatever it may be, the choice is yours. You have a massive expanse of snow and ice, and thousands of citizens whose lives you can claim. Make your move, Champion of Boethiah, the lord awaits.

Requirements:

1) Completion of Boethiah’s Proving Quest

2) A Black Soul Gem

3) A non-essential follower

Optional:

1) Having purchased Hjerim and all its upgrades except for “Clean up that murderer’s mess”,

2) The “Recruit Anyone as Follower” mod, if you want to sacrifice someone unique

Procedure:

Hire the follower, in this case I’m choosing Stenvar as he is non-essential and lives at Candlehearth hall (which is in Windhelm and close to both Hjerim and the Pillar of Sacrifice).

Hire him to follow you, walk to Boethiah’s Sacellum. Ask him to use the pillar of sacrifice, once he has been magnetized to it, cast soul trap. Kill him, and strip his body. Choose one item in particular (I chose his Iron Greatsword).

Head back to your evil dwelling of choice, but make sure it has an Arkane Enchanter. In this case, I use Hjerim because it is relatively close to Boethiah’s sacellum and has an Arkane Enchanter in a secluded room surrounded by bloody bones, mutilation tools, and other ghastly things making it atmospherically perfect.

Using the soul of the person you sacrificed (Stenvar’s soul in the black soul gem), enchant the item you chose after you stripped their body. In my case, I enchanted his Iron Greatsword using his own soul, and then renamed it to “Stenvar’s Sword”. I then mounted it on the weapon rack as a memento.

Congratulations, you have just sacrificed an innocent mercenary for the whim of Boethiah.

Potential Mod Ideas:

This seems like a great idea for a mod, I'm surprised no-one has done it yet.

It should be easy for a Skyrim house-modder to duplicate the Pillar of Sacrifice and place it anywhere. For instance, imagine Reaper’s Dark Tower with a pillar of sacrifice.

You could lure John Doe to XYZ house, provided it has a pillar of sacrifice and do the deed whenever. I think it’s a great roleplay option and very immersive.

Closing:

You may be thinking "Oh, this is just a regurgitation of the Boethiah's calling quest". But look deeper into that. I've scoured the forums and boards on several websites for Skyrim discussion, and there is endless talk about murdering in the name of Sithis or sacrificing for [name here] and all that jargon. But nowhere is there mention of recruiting that person as a follower, and completely betraying them by sacrificing their soul.

It's amazing that the game has a vanilla feature that practically formalizes the process of sacrifice, but the lack of mods and threads around this prove that this has yet to be capitalized upon.

Boethiah is not the "demon" who want you to sacrifice one of your friend, but only his/her follower. As a response, she ask you to eleminate everyone so they stop putting disgusting corpse on his/her altar.
