UnknownGlaze
What is the Ruddy Man?The ruddy man was an enemy of Vivec, fought in Koal Cave and just outside of Tear. He was also the father of all dreugh. Vivec spared his life under the condition that he and his children's hide is used as armor for the Dunmer. Bess
For anyone interested (who doesn't already know), here's the whole entry from the book "the Pilgrim's Path": "Koal Cave: The Shrine of Valor "Within the Koal Cave, Vivec fought a battle with Ruddy Man, the father of the Dreugh. When he defeated Ruddy Man, Vivec spared his life, on the condition that Ruddy Man and his children would give up their tough hides to serve as armor for the Dunmer. "The Shrine of Valor is inside the Koal Cave, a cavern on the seacoast west of the ancient stronghold Berandas and south of Gnisis. The cave mouth faces south, towards the sea, and is marked by a large natural arch of stone. The region is wilderness, and finding the cave mouth can be difficult. Dreugh within the cave itself are fearsome enemies; only experienced and capable adventurers should attempt to re-enact the epic battle with the dreugh in the cave. Dreugh wax may be bought at the Temple in Gnisis. When you address the shrine, it is customary to leave a portion of dreugh wax as a token of Vivec's victorious struggle with Ruddy Man." I remember that. I read this in Morrowind (game). Stupid Vivec Library. Nobody sells the books, so you have to take them.

Yes, i can read those through the Interwebs, prove me wrong :P.Prove you wrong on what? My ability to feel the blank, cluless stares of whose who do not comprehend through the vast web of digital space. Of course, despite what is said in The Pilgrim's Path, the 28th lesson of Vivec indicates he slew the Ruddyman not once, but twice, befor having it fashed into a sort of divine casket, from which came the language of the divine Almsivi. Temple propiganda, of course, but as the 36 lessons are something of an (indesipherable) how-to on CHIM, its also an interesting read. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:36_Lessons_of_Vivec,_Sermon_28 *The Imperial Library won;t load for me right now, so thats the UESP link.
