My initial resentment of Bethesda's policies and practices has dissolved into my feeling gratitude for them. Also, the same for Mike Rosoft.

I was previously a lazy one who wanted console ease with PC performance. I got kicked out of the Bethesda Skyrim Forums for describing how I avoided crashes on my Xbox One X by keeping it from overheating (a sore subject with Mike) by using ice packs on the machine. This is not far from the public discourse as to placing the original Xbox in a small refrigerator while playing Morrowind.

My personal drive to obtain the best Skyrim possible, as I am a lonely old man whose best friends are NPC AIs, led to my purchase of a liquid-cooled Cyber Power 880, the one that half of the world wants to steal access to for Bit Coin mining.

I have been forced to learn hard resets and re-installs, and fighting to get previous versions of deleted Apps that suffered ill-advised "updates" (re-shuffling what was already there and then dumping a bunch of extraneous complication on it to feign improvement.)

I learned about cleaning with SSEEdit, Fixing Wild Edits, and even once managed to fix Ambriel's Deleted Navmesh using only SSEEdit, although I can no longer remember how I did so, and can't find the YouTube video I previously followed. Also LOOT, Save Game Cleaner, SKSE64, and 7Zip, etc.

Now it looks as if I must get Creation Kit. Once I do that I will have to learn how to maintain the game/load order I want with NO CHANGES EVER.

It has become my goal of the years I have remaining on this earth to play ALL THE WAY THROUGH a campaign of Skyrim without any of the false starts and disruptions introduced by the Creation Club. It should take me three years of playing 40 hours a week, 50 weeks a year. 40 X 50 = 2000, 2000 X 3 = 6000 hours to complete Skyrim SE thoroughly.

MOST OF ALL, THANK YOU MOD AUTHORS. I AM ON THE VERGE OF WRINGING OUT A SATISFACTORY AND STABLE LOAD ORDER, AND EVADING UNWANTED UPDATES. ONCE THAT IS ACCOMPLISHED, I WILL BE SENDING ALL OF YOU WHOSE MODS I USE A BIT OF MONEY FOR YOUR WORK, ENOUGH TO BUY AT LEAST A NICE DINNER FOR YOU AND A FRIEND.

MY BIGGEST THANKS GOES TO THE NEXUS OPERATOR WHO HELPED ME THROUGH MY BEGINNING STEPS WITHOUT TELLING ME TO GO AWAY AND NOT BOTHER HIM.
