tyjet3
this is really hard... Were the cards cut/burned/shot (changed in anyway)?Do the cards even matter?Did one of them die of natural causes? Are they in a lab?Are they in a bar?
Osiris
hmm, prepare yourselves Here's my (semi-ridiculous) stab at it: 3 Scientists are sitting in a lab during a break having a conversation. Dr. Jack Kevorkian happens to be doc #1. During that converstion, scientists #2 and #3 decide that their lives are no longer worth living and asks doc #1 (Kevorkian) to "asist them". Doc #1 then whips out his emergency covert assistance tool, a seemingly innocent deck of cards. Doc #4 is sitting in a shadowed corner feeling around his left coat pocket, muttering incoherently to himself. Doc #1 (K) rifles through the deck, as if searching for the correct card. He soon takes out the ace of spades from his deck, then taps it against a nearby table. It has a muffled clang as it made of metal with a couting of rubber. He hands it over to scientists 2 and 3, they feel around the edges revealing its sharpness. Bewildered, scientists 2 and 3 ask doc #1 what exactly he plans to do with it. Kevorkian responds by asking them to follow him to the computer room, a gigantic labyrinth completly taken up by an advanced super computer. When they arrive, doc #1 asks them one final time if they are sure about going though with it. They answer yes, and both write out checks of approximalty $5000 each to Kevorkian. Doc #1 then opens one of the boxes thoughout the room filled with a jumble of assorted wires. He cuts two of the thicker ones from the box with the rubber couted ace of spades blade. He lies the two wires down, careful to not let them touch. He then sheathes his ace of spades back into the deck, searches for another card, and pulls out the king of hearts. Scientists 2 and 3 both note its metallic shine and mirror like surface. Doc #1 tells 2 and 3 to move the two metal chairs from a workstation over to him and face them towards each other closely. After one final assurance from 2 and 3, doc 1 tells them to sit in the two facing chairs. He then hands them the king of hearts, and instructs them to both bite down on it from different sides. He hands wire no.1 to scientist 2 and wire no.2 to scientist 3. Doc #1 then tells them when they are ready, touch their wires to the side of the metallic card and they will get what they want. Doc #1 then leaves the room into a dark hallway to protect himself from any stray electric bolts and.....anything else that may be flying through the air. After a few minutes, he re-enters the room wondering why he hadn't heard anything from it yet. The two scientists tell him they are ready now and he should leave. So doc #1 walks out once more with a tip of his hat and a wink in his eye. He waits directly ouside the door to the computer room contemplating what he will buy with his newly "earned" $10,000. What happened to doctor #4 you ask? He is also in the hallway with doc #1 as it seems, but doc #1 is unaware of this. You see, Doc #4 has had an unstable mental pattern throughout the last few months and finally snapped when docs 1, 2, and 3 excluded him from their conversation at break time a few minutes earlier. He is now directly behind doc #1 in the dimly lit hall, listening to him hum the Mary Poppins theme song. Doc #4 reaches into his pocket and takes out nonother than a revolver. He raises it above his head and pistolwhips doc #1 right in the back of the neck where the spine conects to the brainstem, killing him instantly. From the room over, doc #4 hears what sounds like an explosion. He investigates only to find docs 2 and 3 dead in the strangest position he has ever seen. He drags docs 1, 2, and 3 back to the lab room because he is insane. He checks the chamber of his revolver (lets say its a .45 magum) for bullets. One left. He stacks the three dead scientists on top of one another, during that process Kevorkian's wallet falls to the ground with the two checks still in it. The deck of cards also fall from his pocket, opening and scattering them around the scientists. Doc #4 then lays on top of the three dead scientists and puts the .45 mag to his chest, aiming a bit left of the spinal chord. He pulls trigger, sending the large caliber round straight through himself (#4), #3, and #2, but stopping short of #1 (Kevorkian), of couse killing #4. Docs 4 and 3 roll off of the pile, 2 falls next to 1. The revolver falls from doc #4's hand onto the scattered playing cards. And there you have it. And to go a step further(er), A technichian from a floor up hears the explosion, but is too lazy to go investigate. After a while, curiosity gets the better of him and he gets on the elevator to go down a floor. He makes his way to the lab room, where he sees the scientists and almost gags. He runs out of the room in horror and wonder. What could have happened? He goes back in and finds the wallet, opens it and finds two checks for $5,000 each. Not wanting to call the police in fear of them finding out about the wallet and $10,000, but still wanting to know what the hell happened, he posts on the Morrowind Source boards a most peculiar question. He contemplates offering $5,000 of what he found to the person who can correctly explain this mystery. I expect the money within the month. :shifty: *smacks himself* Where did that come from? edit-I just did this for a bit of fun, but now that I read it it's actually remotly plausible. I need a hobby. tyjet3
Are they in "a normal place for a scientist"?Are they purple? Is one of them homosexual? Are any of them transforming alien robots?Does it look like i'm losing hope...? I'll answer that one... yes This is really hard... give us a clue!
Breton Thief Oriana
Let me take a guess: They were somewhere else when they played cards, now theyre all dead and in the morgue? Sorry for ideocracy... :D
