Odylarian
Is this restriction limited to Witcher 3?I never noticed it because my Documents and Games are both on D:. The deployment requirement about the location of the Documents folder and games definitely applies to Witcher 3. However, I had no trouble with my Bethesda games when the Documents folder was on D:\ drive and everything else was on C:\ drive. As for other games beyond the set I mention here, I have no idea if this requirement applies. Augusta, can you help a noob moving my Documents folder to the D drive? What are specific steps. I know the Documents folder is a windows folder so you need to trick windows. Is that right?

Click it.File in the new location you want and click Move. Done. This is on Windows 10.

Do you recommend I NOT move it inside of my Witchers 3 folder? Does it have to be a root folder of D? 3. Could I move it to something like "D:\user\<name>\Documents", which would only entaiil me changing the drive letter. Do I have to have to new location already created, or will the move create the new directory on the new drive just by changing the properties of the Documents folder?Thank you. rmm200
My location in Properties is set to "D:\Robert\Documents".Windows will create it for you as part of the move. This is your main - only - documents directory. Do NOT place it inside a game directory.Do NOT place it inside any other Windows directory either. Under the circumstances, I am not responsible if you follow my advice and your computer catches fire or explodes.Or anything else bad happens.
