Imperator3
There are problems with textures. I want to change Fawkes. Open NifScope, look what the texture is needed:http://s59.radikal.ru/i165/0812/04/5dc94c9f5a14.jpgOpen these textures in Photoshop, save them to another folder. Overwrite these textures in the NIF. In NifScope texture appears normal:http://s49.radikal.ru/i123/0812/73/dc30635d936e.jpgSave, paste NIF to the G.E.C.K. As a result of changes in texture becomes red:http://s41.radikal.ru/i092/0812/0e/32ac019ae188.jpgIn game so good:http://s57.radikal.ru/i157/0812/18/526acad1dfc6.jpgAfter closing and opening of NIF-file model NIFScope beginning to return errors:http://s51.radikal.ru/i132/0812/db/1024e893ec92.jpgAnd close. And so with all models. What is this?
Makelevi
How do you access the models with .nif in the first place? I'm new to this completely, and with NifSkope I can't find the game direectory - do I have to extract files? GRAWR! Texturing is making me angry :P
SpeedyB64
.nif files once formatted for Fallout and saved cannot be opened. Until a new version of nifskope is out you will have to either remake/remodify the model every time. You can also change some settings to allow the file to be reopenable but this file will not work in game. in the NiTriStripsData/NiTriShapeData block you need to change the Tspace flag to 16 and update all tangent spaces and arrays. To save for fallout just change the Tspace Flags back to 0. The texture problem looks like you either have a missing diffuse map or you have the lighting messed up in the material settings. BTW-Makelevi you need to extract the meshes and textures .bsa files. (not to the data directory, somewhere else!)
Torsten_not_LA
@Makelevi: Use "FO3Archive". It's a tool that you can use to browse the .bsa files for the .nifs you need and extract them.
