kieyrofl
Basically, i downloaded the elven eternal shine mod (non glowing version) hereThe armours work fine, but all the elven weapons have a very bright blue glow like this and this.I tried reinstalling skyrim, deactivating the mod, deleting all the files from the mod, downloading new elven retextures and overwriting.Nothing seems to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. Edited January 14, 2013 by kieyrofl
gamefever
Well the texture file would be here. Skyrim\Data\Texture Now typically unless by freak accident like what happened to me last night....wait for it When you uninstall the game vai STEAM your mods stay there, unless your gamer tag is Gamefever in which case Fate decides that uninstalling the Construction Set means delete everything from the Skyrim folder :wallbash: So even though you uninstalled the game the files are still in Skyrim\Data\Textures just go in there to Skyrim\Data\textures\Armor\Elven\ they will be here

fms1
To make something glow that normally doesn't it takes an altered mesh, the reflectivity has to be changed. So just deleting the textures will not do it, if it uses glow maps (texture name_g) and they are deleted it will make the whole item glow instead of portions. Delete the meshes that the mod adds and it should fix it.
kieyrofl
texture foldermeshes folder I replaced the mesh folder with another mod, but the (now extremely annoying) glow is still there.I am completely out of ideas, I could try deleting all the mods I have, including Nexus MM, but that would be massively inconvenient, and im not even sure that would work. Not sure if this is relevant, but when I try to "verify file integrity" on steam, i always get this message. kieyrofl
Just putting this here for anyone else who experiences this problem.I disabled cloud sync through steamI then uninstalled nexus mod manager, and skyrim through the control panel. This seems to have fixed the issue.
