ArebasuShun
As the title says that's the message I get regardless of what version of the patch I attempt, my computer seems to think there's still a Bethesda folder on my desktop when there's not. My version is so old I started with Patch v1.1. I should add that I had everything working before but after using a bunch of mods one of them changed the weapons animation and walk without mentioning it... so I started going through them and it seemed to of permanently changed my files. So I uninstalled then reinstalled and have done so maybe 3-4 times now.
discovery1
This can happen if you are already using the latest patched game ie, Game of the year version with knights and shivering isles on it. if you try to update the already patched game you will get that error. check your version if its is 1.2.0416 then you do not need to further patch it ony the unnoficial patches. The version number should appear in the bottom left corner when you boot the game up.
ArebasuShun
Fixed it, what happened was the Bethesda and Oblivion folder had gotten deleted but it still counted them as being on the desktop (despite they were in a subfolder). So I just made new folders and named them the same thing.
