gotchamomma Posted December 15, 2008 Share Posted December 15, 2008 Hello, I have a few weapons I made in 3ds Max. They are old and like 3k polys max made long ago for ut2004. They are the base non boned meshes only but I can rig them up as soon as I find out how it's done for this specific engine. Of course I will have to make new textures too but I just really am looking for a good requirement list of tools and things to do to get a weapon into the GECK. Things like what direction must they be facing, max polys, bone placement if any etc etc. I see so many nice weapons already made and in game and want to get some of mine in there too :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Kitteh Posted December 15, 2008 Share Posted December 15, 2008 You'll need NifSkope, and NifTools for your version of max. The gun should be sitting on the ground, I can't remember which way it has to be facing. Export it as an oblivion .nif. No need to rig anything, just make each moving part a separate object.
