Frostfall - Can't use equipment

HI everyone,

 

i have a problem with the Mod "Frostfall - Hypothermia Camping Survival" v2.0

Since I upgraded from v1.6 i can no longer use camping equipment. When I drop a tent, it just drops to the ground and nothing happens (i should be promted whether I just want to drop it or pitch it).

I checked with the Mods Troubleshooting section and it seems the problem is not new. There were a few suggestions on what i could do:

 

1.You may not have the latest version of Skyrim. Please upgrade.

2. You must wait up to 30 seconds after loading your game for drop events to register. 

3. You may have upgraded, and the process did not go smoothly. Please try "clean saving".

4.You may have your game installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim, which has been known to cause issues on Windows 7 and Windows Vista due to folder permissions issues. It is recommended that you install the game to another folder outside of Program Files. Example: C:\Elder Scrolls\Skyrim. Steam now allows you to choose the installation location when installing.

5. Another mod maybe monopolizing the scripting subsystem. Check to see if this happens on a new game, or a new game with only Frostfall enabled.

6.It has been reported that using Script Dragon (or playing with a save game that once used Script Dragon but Script Dragon is no longer installed) can interfere severely with mods that rely heavily on Papyrus events. Frostfall is one such mod. I do not recommend using Script Dragon at all. SKSE is fine. See A note about Script Dragon, below.

7. Your game may be pirated, cracked, or otherwise manipulated. Please buy the game and launch it through Steam or skse_loader.exe (if you use SKSE).

 

 

I can rule out 1. 2. 4. 6 and 7.

 

Now my question: what is clean saving? And how do I do it? Will it affect my current savegame? (BTW when I deactivate Frostfall my current savegame won't load :( is there anyway to save that one?)

I don't think that any mod is monopolizing the scripting system... I also use a few other mods and everthing works just as it's supposed to.

 

Can anyone help me with this?

edit: I started a new game and it works... but really don't wnat to lose my char... what can i do?

thanks... it will be a help in the future...

but it cannot help me with my current problem.

 

as soon as i load my savegame without frostfall my screen will freeze. is there any way arround that?

i tried the cleaning-thingy... and for some reason it worked... i then reinstalled frostfall... and i can now use the campingquipment as intended. pretty good so far... but now i am constantly getting wet.

i dry off when inside but as soon as i go outside my wetness value increases... (independent of the weather)

 

that's not good...

The "clean your save" like mentioned above is - to be honest - the very last solution and only one step before "f*** it, im going to start a new game". There is no clean save in Skyrim possible. Even if you can manage it for one mod, another mod will likely suffer from it. Lots of modauthors are saying to do NOT a clean save.
