McHydesinyourpants
So I installed Skyrim again recently. Installed a bunch of mods and when I get to the helgen torture room i discovered I can't pick locks. I try to activate the locked doors but nothing happens. I do have lockpicks in my inventory (first thing I checked; I'm not that dumb :D) Any one have any suggestions? McHydesinyourpants
I tried disabling some mods to see what was causing the problem. When i disabled SkyRe I was able to pick locks again. Does anyone have any ideas what I may have messed up here to cause a problem like this? I have looked around and I cant find anything.
Sadslayer24
Hey, I'm also having this problem, were you able to find a solution?
Zaidan
I had this same problem. Turns out I had forgotten to copy the scripts folder from the "00 - Required Scripts" folder into the data folder for Skyrim. Once I did that, it fixed the issue. samazingXD
Zaidan, where was the "00 - required Scripts" folder? I'm also having the same problem, but with different mods installed.
Ramagast
So do I, suddenly - I've played with pretty much all of these mods before so it seems like a load order issue. Can you post your load order?
audiodef
Try uninstalling SkyRe and installing its successor, Perkus Maximus, which the author himself prefers over SkyRe.
Ramagast
I'm using Perkus Maximus, actually. It's the first time I've encountered this bug in a years of Skyrim modding.I'm not using any lockpick or thief mods other than Perma,But, after encountering this bug, I tried to install Lock Overhaul with Perma patch, hoping its scripts will cover the bug. No luck. I can bash locks normally, but I can't open them. Interface just doesn't show.
Ramagast
Ok, for me it was solved by using additional fix from PerMa Compatibility Patches page - I didn't notice it sooner. Apparently, it's a bug in Perkus Maximus 1.2.Thanks to amazing tonycubed2 for the tip!
elucidant
Just to save some people time if you're looking for the correct file that Ramagast mentioned, its the one named Perma Bugfix File in the files section from that page. Took me i little bit to find cause I'm dumb ;)
