Alternative use for setscale

I guess it has been said 10k times already but as I see people in the mod section asking for "does this play as childmod allow all actions" or "not show the child cannot use this" message I'd thought I post this.

As you all propably know the setscale command in the console allows you to change the size of any NPC or yourself (you can also use player.setscale for that, then you save yourself one mouseclick on your character).

So if you type in player.setscale 0.82 (or anything around 0.80, whatever your preference in scale is) you will end up with a player character with an adult body but with the size of a teenager. This will stick to your savegame so it only needs to be done once after exiting the vault.

The benefits:

- you don't need to download any mod that changes the race and has issues with the "children cannot use that" message

- you can use any face, hair, eye or whatever mod you use now, that was made for the adult body and don't need to wait for an adaption for the child face/body

- the "child" or "teenager" will have the better adult face and not some snotty child face with underdeveloped features ^_^

- dismemberment works just fine

The downsides:

- if you scale to too small your pip boy will show as too big and you cannot use it properly any more, in my tests anything below a scale of 0.6 resulted in a "useless" pip boy

- if you want to change your haircut/face either via the various haircutters (or facial surgeon respectively) or "showracemenu" if you are too small your character will not show up in the racemenu, the solution is easy though, just type player.setscale 1 previous to the new haircut and after you are done downscale him/her again

- If you play a female character your mini-me will have , though scaled down a bit, boobs. Males will obviously not have that problem. If it really kills the experience for you you can download a "breast" mod and then give yourself a mini cupsize previous to playing, but it is really not that much of an issue really, at least not for me ^_^

- if you scale yourself too small, sometimes the muzzle fire of a rifle seems to be a little bit displaced, I have seen the same effect with a non downscaled character though, so maybe its just a "bug"

Overall the setscale command is a lot of fun to use and fool around, here is some other stuff I did:

- Make the caravans very small, they actually need more time to travel if they are small, and they look super cute (think brahmin pack-hamster)

- make yourself super big and replay the "Attack of the super woman from outer space" films, or make ants super big and replay those old ants movies, in the line of "Tarantula", works best in the town that already features "superheroes" *wink wink*

- want to travel fast without fast travel? Make yourself size ten and cross the wastes a lot faster

So, I hope anyone finds this post useful, and have fun fooling around with your size.
