Weapons and Armor (damage over use)

Greetings, fellow modders. How hard would this be to script? I'd do it myself, but frankly I don't have the time to learn papyrus right now.

 

In my mind, weapons and armor would have a full upgrade spectrum, from legendary upgrade, down to the "negative upgrade" range, such as (dull), (rusty), (cracked), (broken), etc. Broken items would be unequippable until repaired. Repairing an item from the negative stages would require 1 repair per negative stage, so going by the above, a (rusty) weapon would take 2 repairs, then another to get it back to (legendary) or whatever. So neglecting equipment is a bad, bad idea :). This is just how I would do it, if I was making the mod.

 

Would be VERY cool if someone could create this!
