PsyckoSama
I don't see why the protagonist HAS to be american tbh... As a Brit myself, it's nice to occasionally play someone I can relate to... Not that I can relate to a preteen girl in any other respect... Because the game takes place 200 YEARS after a massive war that blew up half the world and basically nixed the entire intentional travel thing? Might as well say "I know its a game that takes place in 14th century Europe, but I want to play a Ninja!"

Do only the Enclave have air travel? unlikly. Not that you even need aircraft, modern boats or even engines. America was colonised from Europe using leaky, wooden hulled sail powered ships. If the area where you live is rather dangerous to survive then its going to encourage the migration of individuals, communities prehaps even whole cultures. Aso consider that America had the Vaults and the G.E.C.K.s and that these were public knowledge, probably around the world thus encouraging survivors to heasd towards the mere possibility of food, shelter and safety, after all, the grass in greener on the other side, as they say. One could expect mass migrations after the war as people seek out, safer areas in which to live and considering the state of the world some 200 years later individuals and bands of poeple are still likely to leave their home areas looking for something better, be it over mountains, oceans or deserts. And who's to say you wont find a Ninja in Europe in 14th centuary Europe. :P The Romans traded with the Far East. the desendents of Gengiz khan brought their hordes into Europe from the Eastern Steppes. Heck, there is even evidence of eastern trade goods going as far a Britain in pre-roman times. Where goods travel so do people.

NKWOODRUFF
But if you want go by your logic the water is heavily irradiated and would kill them in the months it would take for travel. I was merely pointing out that long distance travel was do-able with the most basic of technology, with the scattered remains of Fallout 3's timeline there will surely be better ways of travelling. If people can maintian the complex automata that are robots i.e. the Machineist in canturbury and the BoS with Liberty Prime then the production of engines or converting robotic power sources to power either boats or aircraft seems do-able. anyhoo we shoul let this thread get back on track in its search for a young, female voice actor. Altoough I think a thread on international travel in the post-apoc world could be most entertaining :P

That's actually inconsistant with the rest of the universe where robots are the stuff of vaults, advanced communities, and lost military bases.
