If people can maintian the complex automata that are robots i.e. the Machineist in canturbury and the BoS with Liberty Prime then the production of engines or converting robotic power sources to power either boats or aircraft seems do-able.

 

That's actually inconsistant with the rest of the universe where robots are the stuff of vaults, advanced communities, and lost military bases.

And these only exist in America? unlikely. there are a lot of smart people around the world. As for the Fallout Universe we know very little of the world beyond Americas shores, we know that the Resource Wars happened and then most places got a good old nuclear cleansing after that ditto, we have no idea how the rest of the world has moved on in the 200 years since the M.A.D. of the world. In fact the idead of international travel on some form would help to explain of Moriarity and his Irish Brouge in the Capital Wasteland :P

Do you really think we put enough radiation to make the whole ocean radioactive? Few thousand bombs wouldn't be nearly enough for that. Besides, they drink that water all the time. That means constant treatments for radiation poisoning. Way too much radiation in the water anyway. All the short lived isotopes are about gone, and leeching from the soil can only replace so much. Especially since I haven't seen it rain once.

 

This world also appears to be a lot warmer given the climate in the game so island hopping through iceland and greenland is fairly possible. The vikings did it after all.

Someone once said (I cant remember who it was) that "Britishness is a conceit of the English" as we don't differentiate between Englishness and Britishness. I think that the term "British accent" is used to indicate the wider group of accents that are found throughout the British Isles, lets be honest probably every nation in the world has variations in accents from regional, cultural, religious and class accents. I suppose that we have to be more specific about what we want ie "I want a Mr Gutsy with a Working class, east Yorkshire accent to say 'I tell thee lad, I 'ave thee' in combat mode (on reflection I would be quite amused by that :biggrin: )

you mean like Aradesh from Fallout 1? if you want people with different accents, just say they came from NCR, Vault 15 was the most multicultural vault there was, which is why it was the least screwed up and bred the most successful community in Fallout history

 

by the end of Fallout 2, depending on your actions, the epilogue has NCR take it's territory all the way through the map of Fallout 2 (at the begining of Fallout 2 NCR already encompace everywhere from what used to be Shady Sands to what used to the the Boneyard (aka LA)), So it stretches from LA to San Fran, to "New" Reno to Klamath and Arroyo, to Vault City and Gecko to Broken Hills and Vault 13)

 

not only is the NCR multicultural, it's also multispeciel, Humans, Gouls, Super Mutants and even some talking DEATHCLAWS live together peacefully, as well as the odd Talking Radscorpion and Talking Spore plant, Fallout 2 had allot of talking things that you wouldn't think should be able to.
