Neji64
I took a pair of glasses and made a new one and only edited the name and armor stats but when i actually put it in the game and equip it the item is on the side of my characters face. Im new to using this stuff so this might be a stupid question. How do I fix this?
thewaronandrew
I just tried exactly what you said you did and it worked fine for me. I honestly have no idea where you went wrong. Try just creating a new name and not changing the stats. Then little by little experiment with the stats. Maybe glasses are a better defense on the side of your face? Baelkin
Sounds a bit like an alignment problem. Make sure that you haven't unchecked any of the Biped Object entries (or checked the wrong entries) inside the item editing dialogue by accident, as that could cause some problems with how the object aligns to the actor. Other than that I don't know what could have gone wrong. :s
Asaang
same problem here. I tried duplicating without altering anything but the editorID (since it's a duplicate), but it didn't change anything. Glasses are still glued to the side of the face. Really silly, actually, since I never had any problems with duplicating and altering item stats with the Oblivion CS. If someone has a solution for this, please let me/us know! BejayWaddell
I'm having the same problem, though it is not just glasses but hats also...I'm getting a little frustrated, I never had this kind of problem with Oblivian or Morrowind.
Asaang
I get the creeping suspicion that the G.e.c.k. is still a bit buggy. I've stumbled upon a few more problems that remain unexplained.Or maybe it's because the Geck clashes with my particular version of Windows; do any of you guys use Vista? BejayWaddell
I have found a sollution, it is a fault in the GECK, there are values that are not avalible GECK.FO3Editor provides access to these values, I found the easiest way to create any kind of head gear is to duplicate something similar from the Fallout.esm with FO3Editor then edit the duplicate with the GECK. Because the copy was made with FO3Editor it has all the data. Here is the link to FO3Editor http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=
