ArmyAJC
I've been having a problem, small but noticeable. I've done some reading and digging around to figure out which mods are causing the issue and how to fix it, however I'm not quite sure or just having found it so I'm asking for some help to fix these issues. Some textures (not many, but enough to be noticeable) are not loading and leaving that solid bluish color on the certain meshes. I don't know which mod is causing this, all I can think is the SMIM cause that's really the only mod I have that effects terrain and objects, but I don't know why it's causing this, I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no fix and the same objects are always without texture. I'm posting pictures of the issue and my mod's load order so you can see what's there and in what order to possibly help fix this. Obviously it's not game breaking, but it is very distracting and annoying and just ugly.
Shabdez
I can't tell just by the look on your LO what is causing it, but you should be able to find out with the use of the console and xEdit. Best you also have this mod installed:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19250 Open console, click the object and get all the information you need for further investigation with xEdit or directly in your game assets. ArmyAJC
I'll give it a shot and post an update, thanks for the reply..... Actually I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing with xEdit. I found the object.... now what? I did a check for errors option on it, the program said there were none... Shabdez
Now you know that both objects' base references are defined by Skyrim.esm and are NOT overwirtten by any other mod (provided you have loaded your entire LO in xEdit). Also, the 3d models in question are:WRScafGuardTowerSpikes01.nifWRScafRailStr01.nif Next you need to check if those 2 files come with any of your mods. Are you using a mod manager? Depending on the modding tool you use, you will find game assets either in the game's DATA directory or whereever your mod manager installs the mods. EDIT: SMIM does have both files. If no other mod in your LO comes with these nifs, you should check if you have SMIM installed properly. Go see if these TEXTURE files are present in your DATA or mod folder:textures\smim\architecture\whiterun\wrstockade_properwood.ddstextures\smim\architecture\whiterun\wrstockade_properwood_n.ddstextures\smim\architecture\whiterun\WRWoodPlanks_512_tiling.ddstextures\smim\architecture\whiterun\WRWoodPlanks_512_tiling_n.dds Edited July 3, 2020 by Shabdez
