NCR BOOT CAMP

I am in the planning stages of creating a NCR Boot Camp Mod. This mod will let the player have a taste of what it takes to be a trooper in the NCR. You will go through class training, Shooting range, Obstical Course, P.T. and a lot more. This will take the courier and make a man out of him. (even the females) :thumbsup: So far I am Creating the story of it, and what will happen thorughout the duration of your training.

This is going to introduce some new items, Possibly new weapons. And a new NCR Military Training academy. This is going to be a big Project.

 

I will need help....

 

I am looking for Ideas as well, if anyone has anything they think will be a good thing for this mod, please feel free to post any ideas.

 

Ill need some help with:

Scripting

Level Design

Custom Textures/ Meshes

yeah, I know. Im trying learn, and trying to just play by ear on how to script things. Im trying to create one that feels real, and that at sometimes makes you feel like :wallbash: Im trying to create something that i can expand on, and give the player quests after that help ncr, and make you feel, not as an ultimate savior for the ncr, but a regular run of the mill trooper with a lot of potenital. with your actions that cause ripples in the way the wasteland looks. (IE: if you do well on your assignment at point A, Point B is easier to defend, and if you do bad at point A, Point B is harder because the ncr has to allocate more supplies and troops to point A, If you fail at point A completly, legion takes it over, and has a better foothold to assault point b, and so on)

But that part is later. For now im trying to script A Drill SGT, and your fellow recuits. As well as Creating the world space for the Academy. I know it is a tedious process, and will take a while, but as they say: Rome was not built in a day.

Oh god that is exactly what I've been doing. :laugh:

 

No really, wish you the best. Open the GECK wiki, look up dialog tutorials, AI packages and basic quest scripting.

 

You'll also need to learn about building worldspaces. This took me less than a day to learn, it's not so intimidating. Navmeshing is a time consuming pain, but not overly difficult.
