David Brasher
Maybe your border remover mod is not working because you have another mod that adds borders back in. Your border remover mod would need to load after all the other mods that touch the border.
Nephenee13
Turning off borders in the INI should override any mods adjusting that setting. If you did change it in the INI but it still didn't work, then you probably did it in Oblivion_default.ini, not Oblivion.ini. Oblivion.ini is not in your data folder, it is in the same place Savegames are stored.
Maskar
To be 100% certain the borders are disabled add the following to a quest script: SetNumericINISetting "bBorderRegionsEnabled:General" 0 This will override anything.
Seedneed
The best way to remove borders us by using the TES construction set, or downloading this: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/10030 I hope you found a solution before resorting to THIS solution ;)
bben46
There are TWO versions of the ini (Thanks for this bit of confusion Beth) - You should NOT make any changes in the one found in the game folder as that one is needed to recreate the other one when it is trashed. - If you already made changes, don't worry, Just changing the borders variable will not harm the ini. If you made a LOT of changes, and didn't make a backup - it can be recovered with a reinstall of the game if it causes any problems. The other one, the one actually created when you first start the game and the one that you should modify is located in the same place as your save games - Default for Vista/Win7 C:\uses\your user name\My documents\my games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini When you find it, make a shortcut to it as you will likely need it again if you do a lot of modding.
Vegetassj358
i Dont know anything about how forums work so im just going to say i have the same problem. I feel like its directly related to the OBGE mod or which one it is that edits the script, because i went to the oblivion.ini file and i couldn't even edit the borders, so like what do i do and also how do i ask questions on a new i think they are called "threads" i really don't know.
