Hair Mod problems

Long story short; I used to merge Acids, AKH, and Capucine's eyes with the babehair mods and they all worked fine.

Now, no matter what, I can't get ANY hair mods to load even if they are merged into possible conflics.

I uninstalled Oblivion using Add or Remove Programs in Windows, deleted the Oblivion directory and the files in My Documents\My Games\Oblivion. After re-install, no updates nothing else but vanilla Oblivion and the hair mods still won't work.

I checked in the CS and the hair shows up there, but never in game.

I tried the same mod files and install of oblivion on another computer and it works. Any ideas?

System specs:

Windows XP

Athlon 64 3800+

2GB DDR2-800

MSI HD3870

MSI K9A Platinum

160GB RAID 0 primary array

DVD burner and DVD-ROM

It sounds like you got rid of everything except the registry entries. I don't see how they could cause the problem you have though. When you reinstalled, did you install the official patches from Bethesda? Then, did you start the game and make a save before trying to add any mods? That is to make sure it works before starting to make changes.

I've reinstalled with no patches and tested before creating a first save point (other mods work though), installed with no patches only 1 hair mod, installed with shivering isles no patches, installed with SI no patches no other mods, installed with latest (1.2 i think) patch for SI. Nothing got the hair mod to work, but other mods were fine. I am in the process of 'fixing' my second installation of Windows that I use for virus recovery to try installing it on that and see if it works. I don't really want to, but if I have to I guess I could play it from there.
