Which of my mods cause bloating?

Hello nexus!

Recently when I play skyrim my game lags after a minute, then i can play nicely and then after a minute it lags again etc. I was searching at forums and i think it has something to do with a bloated save. because all my other characters haven't got this problem, only one character save. So i wanted to make a new character but I thought that the same issue will happen again cause I think it has something to do with one of my mods. I think that over a time the same problem will hapen with my other savegames. (and my new character then) so I unistalled mods and look if my savefile increases, with a few mods it increases but if i save again i decreases and then it increases. So i cant figure out witch mod truly is causing the problem. And I'm sure a lot of the little mods will not cause it. So i am now gonna ask it on nexus, maybe you know which of these mod can problably cause the mod bloating.

Plugins (the mods with a underline have I installed after the problems, so before i installed those mods the problem was there too):

and i've unistalled all of these before but then the lag still continues. So i downloaded the possesive corpses mod(also in the list) and this mod reduces the save file (if there isn't a mod who increase the save file, because after using the possesive corpses mod the file increases again. So actually I just want to know which mod can cause this, because I want to use a lot of those mod on my new character. And I don't want the same problem with my new character.

oh, and I've also installed Lush grass, trees, and skyrim hd and imidianborn book of silence, brown moutains and rocks, categorized faforite menu, enchanced distant terrain and realistic smoke and embers(.Not at plugin list)

thanks!

For me personally, WATER & SkyTEST caused me lots of problems (not saying their mods are bad, just along with everything else it didn't work well).

It could be a mod you have uninstalled that has caused the problem. If there is an orphaned script that is constantly running and adding to your save file your load order will not help you find it, have you deactivated many mods with this save? To rule this out you should try starting another new game to see if the problem persists.

Ok, I've started a new character with all the mods activated. with the new character I started in a prison cell (alternate start - live another life mod) and killed there a few people.(via console command I placed these people to me) after I killed a few in the prison cell I saved and looked at the save file there was a slithtly increase, I did this a lot times (see picture). When I went outsite It icreased a bit more. after I saved. You can see this proces here:

http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/7750/savesc.png

the bottom of the list is where i started(in the cell) (those 3kb files are from skse) at the top you see: 4.747kb to 4.802 is when i went from the prison cell to skyrim. and walked a few seconds in skyrim.

Are those little increases still a sign of that this character gonna have the same problem or are those little increases not to worry about. with my previous (problem) character the save increased with the same mods from 31.400 to 31.800 that is much bigger increases than my new character. So maybe my old character save is total loss?

without knowing anything about your system, I would say its probably not on the high end, I could be wrong.

Populated cities is a good mod and I run it myself. I also know when I tested it with a ATI hd 5700 it killed my system. You are running some large mods there. Water being one, an ENB, Climates, wet and cold...and some others. As I said, some of these mods are not bad, but you might just be out of video memory or system resources. The stutter can be related to your system not being able to render al lthe items its trying to locate and plot.

You have a lot of effect mods listed at the bottom of your post. In testing, disabling mods does not necessarily remove its effects from your game. some game files could have been overwritten. Also, check to insure you have al lthe pre-requisites for your mods. You might think you have them all, but at each version change or software update, mods can just stop working as they once did or as expected.

Try turning down , as a test, all the game settings to LOW and see what happens.

System:

AMD phenom II x4 965 BE 3,4 GHz

4gb ram

Radeon 6870 1 GB

1 Tb harddisk

Ok, But what I mean: Is the savegame from my new character also gonna bloat or not. And can you deduce this from the picture in my previous post, those slightly increases after a few seconds play. Or are those little increases of my new savefile not to worry about. My older save which i had the problem increases with 600-800 mb after i saved. with the same mods

I've downloaded the UFO add-ons for dawnguard and hearthfire. And I played a bit with a lvl 81 character, fighting wolfs, fighting vampires in markarth. this are the sizes of the saves:

http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/2033/save2.png

the bottom is where I started testing with this character. As you can see the size of the save went up and down and up etc.. Is this good or is this still too much Increase of the savefile.

oh, and I've unistalled the bladesfactionfix and the ENB. (the problems where also there before i installed the enb, so i think the enb will not cause this.)

The savefile on the bottom of the list(31.876 kb) isn't the lvl 81 save but the bloated/bugged one. So that save does not count.do not look at that. the files above that save is where i started.

Anything below 15mb is normal. If I start a new game and do nothing except get to the point in Helgen which allows saving my file will be around 5-6mb, and I don't suffer from save game bloat.

The last batch of saved games you posted look fine, you would normally see a massive increase per save file if you have a bloating issue.

You should delete the bloated file, there is no way to recover it the best you can hope for is rebuilding your character quickly with console commands or the levelers tower. This is disappointing but you have to take it on the chin, at least with Skyrim the 'quick save corruption' that plagued Morrowind to Fallout NV is gone (or at least less apparent) I didn't play Oblivion for months after a 400+ save got corrupted.

From now on you should be very scrutinous of mods you install, update or disable, and test them on a 'dummy' save preferably. It's time consuming but not nearly as much as it is fixing the problem and starting from scratch.
