Rapier_21
I'd imagine this has been brought up before, but why does radiation not effect NPC's, while it does the PC? I mean, when I "balanced" my Fat Man, which now does 30k damage to anything in approximately 1/8th to 1/4 of a mile radius, and leaves a lethal cloud of radiation in it's wake (3000 rads over the entire blast area, dissipating over 30minutes ), and I lob one at the Behemoth at GNR, and Vargas and Lyons are STANDING IN THE CLOUD SUCKING UP 300 RADS A SECOND AND SHRUGGING IT OFF, it kind of kills it for me. I get that they're essential, and therefor can't die from it, but even then, anytime you're out in the wastes, radiation only effects YOU. Is there some way to make it so that, I dunno, it hurts NPC's to a degree, or lowers their stats or something similar to the way it does the PC? Right now it's looking kind of S.T.A.L.K.E.R over here and everyone else around just shrugs this stuff off. I happen to know a little about radiation; I get my NRC Form 4's in the mail every once in a while, and the way most games treat it just aggravates the hell out of me. Is there some way to make it like, a NPC-hurting type effect so they'll avoid the area or something? I mean, I get the whole 1950's RADIATION CAUSES GIANT ANTS stuff, but I think it'd be better to take the F1/F2 approach of "FEV did it" and leaving radiation as a universally "bad thing". Anyways, discuss? :thanks:
