Trying to troubleshoot my CTDs

So I started a fresh new file to start a new character and use some new mods... But, I keep getting CTDs one odd thing I've noticed is with the installation of the newest version of skse using the skse loader I can't seem to get it to launch unless I select run as admin. In the process of turning off mods until the CTDs stop but if you have any ideas or advice it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

1) 1) You need to sort your load order using BOSS. Check the BOSS log to see if there are any esp's that needs cleaning (using TES5Edit) or any mod that BOSS does not recognize which needs to be manually arranged in the load order.

2) You are using a number of 'give more stuff to NPCs' mods (e.g. Immersive Armor, Winter is Coming, etc.). They make conflicting edits to leveled lists and you will need to use Wrye Bash to generate a Bashed Patch in order for all of the gears to show up on random NPCs (rather than just those from one mod).

3) SkyTest does not run well with a large load order (the author even has a statement on the mod description page to that effect). When I had it in my load order, it was responsible for 99% of my worldspace CTDs. If you find you are CTDing outdoors a lot, consider uninstalling SkyTest to see if it stabilizes your game.

SUCCESS! Thanks. Seems removing SkyTest did just the trick. I must admit I am the worst kind of mod user (The fairly lazy one :P) and the use of TES5Edit seems a daunting task, where would you recommend learning to use it? Also some insight on the Wyre Bash would be appreciated as well, at the moment I am only using Boss.

For the most part, the only thing most average mod users need to learn about TES5Edit is just how to clean esp's when recommended by BOSS. This will get you started. There is a video at the bottom of the page in case you need a visual guide. Remember that esp's not recognized by BOSS cannot be allowed to just load at the bottom of your load order, but using TES5Edit you can see conflicting records between esp's and determine where the unrecognized esp's should load (post back if you are not sure about specific esp's).

Likewise, the only thing that most average mod users need Wrye Bash for is just to generate a compatibility patch for them (the Bashed Patch) to merge things like leveled list conflicts. I don't know of a guide for it, but once you've installed it, it's fairly intuitive to make a Bashed Patch (basically right click on the template Bashed Patch that is installed along with the program and select 'build Bashed Patch..' or something to that effect).
