Booting from Steam would answer a couple questions: Is there a problem with the mods? You can also adjust the graphics from Steam, if you think that's the problem. Or, you could have a corrupted save.

If it's a mod problem, this may help:

To check your saves, try this:

Hey, I have the same problem as the OP. I've tried most of the prescribed methods to restore the game, including clearing the data file and slowly reinstalling the mods back in. At first it seemed to help when I discovered one of the new companions was missing I reinstalled the mod and now the saves won't load. It seems to crash pretty quick in the load. Not sure if it is an issue with my load order or just a corrupted file.

Load Order:

Don't know what it is, but you have a great number of NPC mods, some old and buggy. (Unique NPCs is two years old and has 34 reported bugs.) I would try uninstalling some of them and see if it helps.

Regarding companions, it's tricky to uninstall them, as there may still be scripts running. (I had some really big problems with Darlene.) Fallrim Tools may help.

Make sure you have the latest versions of F4SE.

-Deactivate all mods individually (do not uninstall them please)

-reinstall them one at a time trying to play.

-----------If the game does not start without any mods,--------

-verify the integrity of the game files from steam

-and remember these changes from the Fallout4.ini file in documents folder:
