Blacklyte
I have been using Gopher's Immersive HUD - iHUD and while it is fantastic on it's own merit, more could be done to eliminate some of the UI elements to make the game an even more immersive experience. One of the things I have been toying with in my head is to have the player character's current health, magicka and stamina reflect on them in a way that the UI elements are unneeded. For example: Health points could be determined by blood loss and the sound of a heart beating. The more damage you take equals to more blood gushing from your wounds and a slow heart beat sound que that grows even more slower as time goes on until the PC dies. In first person mode the edges of the screen can grow red and veiny with a pulsing animation that is timed with the heart beat. Magicka levels can be determined by the current spell. If you have the magicka to cast it, the spell will be bright like normal with a very subtle blue spark animation casting off of the PC's fingertips, showing that they are at their limit. If you don't have the magicka to cast the spell, the spell will be dim and grow brighter as the PC's magicka points regenerate. Stamina levels could be determined by the PC huffing and puffing. The more stamina that is burned up, the louder and heavier the PC's breaths become. On top of that, when all of the stamina is extinguished, movements become slow and somewhat clunky. I would love to be able to do this myself, but I lack experience with Skyrim's mod tools and TBH, I haven't really touched a modding program since Morrowind. So if anyone has the skills to make this happen, please make this idea a reality. A mod like this can make Skyrim into a truly hardcore experience.
