BUG : Invisible NPC Spawns when entering a new place

Problem solved

[EDIT2:]

I used BOSS to reorder my mods and eventually the problem disapeared.

Before using BOSS the bug was here.

After using BOSS the bug didn't showed up anymore, untill now.

So it was most likely to be a conflict between two interacting mods (wet and cold and an other one). Maybe Run for your lives.

Thanks to Steve40 for he answered to the topic.

"Remember to read the troubleshouting section of the mod Wet and Cold."

[/EDIT2]

----

Hi,

[before the bug appears :]

I disabled the mod "Realistic Body System" which wasn't working apparently.

And I puted up to date "Wet and cold 1.10" from 1.71.

[After Restarting the game]

Each time I enter a new location (room, place or whatever), one (and more) NPC spawns close to me. It is INVISIBLE (nothing related to the spell) and impossible to interact with.

The NPC keep saying "hmm", "What do you need ?" or "Good morning" when I bump into it and it is effectively blocking me so it does exist.

This happens without any exception so it's impossible to play with.

[EDIT1:]

The troubleshouting section of the mod "wet and cold" mentions a similar issue, I did what the moder advises to but without any effect.

The invisible NPC seems to follow me wherever I go, indeed, I sometimes here it again in the middle of nowhere and can find it (I bump into it).

When I enter a room, it sometimes go back to skyrim, waiting me outside.

I started a new game (loading the save before creation of character), I don't have any issue with this new character.

I'm about to deinstall Wet and Cold to see what happens.

[/EDIT1]

Thanks in advance if you find explanations for that issue.

PS/ Sorry if i made some english mistakes (feel free to correct me).

I've got the same bug, and also updated wet and cold, along with updates to deadly dragons and the unofficial dawn guard/hearthfire/skyrim patches.

Things I've tried

I went back a day and a half in save games and thought I got rid of the bug, but alas, no. I thought it was related to a buggy companion quest, and finished that by console so aela would leave as a follower, still no. I thought it was fast travel related, no again. I even tried traveling outside of whiterun hold, hoping the effect was somehow related to location, nope, still get the invisible npc at tne player home in falkreath.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them, this glitch makes the game unplayable

Maybe you should read the v1.1 changelog of Wet and Cold:

"Fixed issue with invisible NPCs generating near or in your home. If you notice any, restart the mod through the options several times to remove them from your game."

doh, don't know how I missed that. Interestingly enough, I deactivated/reactivated the mod and it fixed the problem. went back to read the patch notes again and saw this: If you bump into an invisible NPC in your home, restart the mod from the options near it. Then came back here to update my post, but Steve40 had beaten me to it. Thanks Steve40, appreciate the reply!

I somehow forgot to mention that, I allready restarted the mod multiple times, saving and reloading game as well, fast traveling across the map, quiting game etc ... nothing positive happens.

Looks like I'm not the only one with this problem, what with me got the Papyrus log enabled and wireframe on, but never got to find it until now. I've just recently upgraded Wet and Cold among several earlier in the day.

Anyway, I'll look into this after dinner and try to fix. If not, either I'll have to downgrade or disable the mod until a workaround comes around.

Thanks for the 411. :D

I was really surprised to not find any reference about this problem anywhere on the web (nothing on google, nor on youtube and finally nothing here as well), that's why I decided to create that topic. I'm trying things myself, i'm pretty sure we will solve this.

So when it's done, hopefully people will find the solution here.

I'll have to disable W&C in the meantime until it's resolved; I experienced a sudden sluggishness accompanied with that invisible NPC before the whole game froze up and had to kill it off.

I still like the mod, though.
