crow41798
I used to be able to just click on a value in FNVEdit to get it to show in blue so that I could change it. Now, no matter how many times I click the value, double click slowly, etc. the value will not change.
Xaranth
What happens if you press F2?
crow41798
Nothing happens if I press F2. I tried it already.
Xaranth
Did your data directory get flagged read-only while you weren't paying attention? Is it only one mod? Are you using FNVEdit 3.0.26?
crow41798
1: No 2: Yes 3: Yes It very occasionally allows me to change something, like it only does it when it wants to.
Xaranth
Make sure there's not another process with its hooks in the mod. This can include the NMM, FOMM, FNV itself, the GECK, TESSnip, and possibly a copy of FNVEdit that didn't close cleanly. If it's just the one mod, it's probably a mod issue rather than an FNVEdit issue. Can you open the mod in the GECK?
crow41798
The geck can edit things perfectly fine. Even if I only open FalloutNV.esm I can't get FNVEdit to work. The reason I don't use the geck for editing is because there are some values that I can't find in the geck (e.g. attackshots/sec). I looked into my processes and found nothing that could possibly relate to New Vegas or FNVEdit.
Xaranth
Oh, I thought you had said it was just one mod that was exhibiting this behavior. I'm sorry, I misunderstood. My next suggestion would be to uninstall and reinstall FNVEdit. Probably best with a reboot between the two.
crow41798
Are you guys just able to click on a value to edit it, or is there something special you have to do? I always get that message that tells me that I'm about to edit a plugin file, btw. Is there an options screen with FNVEdit? Edit: Nevermind, I found out I have to hold the mouse button down for a second or two to get it to work. Thanks for your help, Xaranth.
