I have same as issue, but it doesnt cause problem, because i wanna start a new game.

But this mod doesnt cause crashing when i start new game. I install 2.0 and NOT the 2.01 version. I dont know what the difference between the two version.

 

My game versions is 1.04, and it run very fine with 2.0 mod. (My game isnt legal, crashed game - escuse me Ubi and developer team, i will buy the game, because it deserve)
