Jazm
I was wondering if there is a way to over scale the resolution of the in game internal 3D rendering above your native screen resolution? I have a 1080p screen and have set the .ini values to 3840x2160, but can't get it to launch properly, is there a way to get it to work? Some might wonder why I would bother to over sample if my screen cant display more pixels than 1080p anyways. Well I have been experimenting with over scaling in Arma 2 (It lets you set set internal engine 3D rendering above native screen resolution in the video settings) and have found it really have an impact on the graphics, clarity in distant objects especially. Here is what I've got to work so far, I put these values in the .ini: bFull Screen=0iSize H=2160iSize W=3840 Problem is, I can only view 1/4 of the screen (since that is the true 2160p resolution). But what I'm looking for is to squeeze it back into a 1080p aspect ratio. Edited January 20, 2013 by Jazm
Dukov82
Use normal downsampling, there are many guides online for this.If you have a nvidiacard you can also activate 2x2 supersampling in the nvidia inspector tool, this is the same --> doubling the resolution and downsampling. Here is a guide and the latest inspector.http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=29247305&postcount=163http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvidia_inspector_download.html I prefer 4x sparse grid supersampling.Of course you need a fast videocard for all supersampling settings.
