wendelgrey
I made a 'sandbox' type cell to test some modifications to explosives. I have a few baddies corralled into a fence of sorts. I placed a live mine in the center of the group and when I entered the cell in game it had already gone off, killing one and injuring the others. I want to see the mine go off though. I'm new to this kind of thing so I did some research on the wiki. This is what I came up with. I set the mine to initially disabled and looked at the 'activate parents' tab. There was nothing there that looked useful so I did some more research and saw that if you check the 'persistent reference' box on an object it can be an activator. I set a container to "persistent reference' and then was able to make it an 'activate parent' for the mine. I assumed that when I opened the container, the mine would 'activate.' But it didn't. I'm about to try a static object for the activator. Any other suggestions? On a related note, the first time I enter the cell I created after firing up the game, the mobs are not in their cage. But if I reload outside of the cell then reenter, they are. What gives? Thanks. edit: Static object didn't work either.
